Job Description

Job Summary for Inventory Specialist The Inventory Specialist is responsible for helping to oversee, track, and maintain accurate physical and digital inventory levels across our extensive wholesale plant offerings—including bare root perennials, containers, and specialized plant lines. This role plays a critical part in our farm supply chain, ensuring that inventory data aligns seamlessly with sales operations, fulfillment, and our industrial freezer and greenhouses. Key Responsibilities

Inventory Tracking & Auditing:

Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits across fields, and cold storage facilities to maintain high data integrity.

•

System Management:

Update and manage digital inventory records, ensuring real-time accuracy regarding plant availability, sizes, grades, and locations within SBI software.

•

Receiving & Shipping Oversight:

Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.

•

Crop & Stock Quality Monitoring:

Collaborate with operations and production teams to track plant health, monitor dormant or active stock in storage (such as bare-root material), and flag aging or damaged inventory. Qualifications & Skills

•

Experience:

Preferred 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain.

•

Organizational Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail, highly analytical, and capable of managing large volumes of SKU data and physical stock.

•

Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

•

Communication:

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work effectively with sales, shipping, and production teams. Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• This is a full-time, on-site role requiring a mix of indoor office work and mostly outdoor field/yard work.

• Must be comfortable working in various outdoor weather conditions, navigating uneven terrain in nursery yards, and inspecting stock in cooler or industrial freezer environments. Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 35-50 lbs

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
