Job Description

About Us Easter's Lock & Security Solutions is the largest independently owned provider of physical security services in the Mid-Atlantic region. Family-owned for more than 70 years, we specialize in commercial locksmithing, electronic access control, automatic doors, safes, doors & hardware, and integrated security solutions throughout the region. We are looking for an experienced Inventory Specialist to build, organize, and optimize our inventory program. This is not a traditional warehouse position. We are seeking someone who has successfully established and managed inventory operations within a skilled trades environment and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision. Previous locksmith industry experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with inventory management experience in a similar trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, commercial doors, security integration, building supply, etc.) will also be considered. About the Position We're looking for a self-motivated professional who understands that inventory is more than putting parts on shelves. You will be responsible for evaluating our current processes, recommending improvements, implementing best practices, and creating an organized, scalable inventory system that supports our more than 35 field service technicians. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, solving problems, and taking ownership of a department. Responsibilities Evaluate and improve our current inventory processes and workflow. Organize and optimize our physical warehouse layout and inventory staging. Develop and implement barcode labeling and scanning procedures. Plan and execute a complete physical inventory count. Establish standardized inventory locations and bin systems. Track inventory across 35+ field service vehicles. Develop procedures for replenishing technician truck stock. Create cycle count procedures and inventory accuracy standards. Implement inventory alerts, reorder points, and purchasing recommendations. Coordinate inventory movement between the warehouse, technicians, and job sites. Work closely with management to recommend process improvements and long-term inventory strategies. Assist with inventory data cleanup, organization, and ongoing maintenance. Provide training and documentation for inventory procedures as needed. Qualifications Required Demonstrated experience building or significantly improving an inventory management program. Experience managing inventory within a skilled trades or service-based business. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions. Strong computer skills and experience working within inventory management software. Highly Preferred Previous experience working in a locksmith shop or commercial security company. Experience with commercial locksmith hardware, doors, access control, or related products. Experience using ServiceTitan. Experience implementing barcode systems. Experience managing technician truck inventory. Experience with purchasing and inventory forecasting. What We're Looking For We are not looking for a warehouse picker or someone whose experience is limited to receiving and stocking product. We're looking for someone who has successfully built inventory systems before and can evaluate how we currently operate, identify opportunities for improvement, make recommendations, and lead implementation with confidence. If you're the type of person who sees an inefficient stockroom and immediately starts thinking about better layouts, better processes, and better accountability, we'd love to talk with you.
