  • THIS IS A TITLE 5 EXCEPTED NATIONAL GUARD POSITION
  • This position is loced in the Army or Air Nional Guard.
Its purpose is to provide storage and distribution, caloging or supply identificion systems, property utilizion, or other reled supply activities including those associed with automed or manual supply accounting systems. Performs routine and non-routine merial coordinion duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops. Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy. Items are less stable or standardized and do not lend themselves to routine control through the use of the computer and variable supply level formulas. Plans requirements, both quantitive and monetary, to sisfy customer needs. Responsible for limited aspects of storage management. May develop and install local procedures and techniques to achieve and maintain smooth, effective, and coordinion storage operions. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Experience, educion, or training in a variety of operions or situions concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operions such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions. Experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
1-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade. Knowledge of governing supply regulions, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting searches for required informion; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operions support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts. Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems reled to segments in one or more major areas of supply management. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey informion and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Consistent with the grade level determining duties in the position description, higher grade level specialized experience may include experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, caloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operions support. Experience coordining with other organizions on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluing to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulions to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
