Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our logistics and supply chain team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the accurate management of inventory across multiple warehouses, ensuring seamless operations in shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment. Your expertise will drive process improvements, optimize stock levels, and support efficient transportation planning. Duties Manage inventory levels through regular audits and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy within warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms. Coordinate with procurement teams to facilitate sourcing, purchasing, and replenishment of stock items based on demand planning and category management strategies. Oversee shipping logistics including picking & packing, freight scheduling, and compliance with transportation safety regulations. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to plan routes, monitor freight movements, and optimize road transportation operations for cost efficiency. Supervise warehouse distribution activities such as materials handling, packaging, and order fulfillment while adhering to regulatory compliance standards. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and manage dispatching to ensure timely delivery of goods across domestic and international markets. Analyze supply chain data using tools like supply chain analytics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or warehouse operations within a logistics company environment. Strong technical skills including proficiency in ERP systems (such as AS400), warehouse management systems (WMS), CMMS software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight procedures, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and international trade regulations. Ability to operate forklifts safely along with familiarity with materials handling equipment and safety protocols. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Demonstrated team management capabilities with experience supervising warehouse staff or logistics teams. Strong analytical skills for data analysis related to demand planning, inventory forecasting, and process improvement initiatives. Understanding of regulatory compliance standards related to shipping logistics, transportation safety regulations, and customs procedures. Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, internal teams, and customers on order status and delivery expectations.
