About the Role The Inventory Specialist keeps our sales floor and backstock organized, accurately priced, and properly rotated, while also pitching in wherever the store needs a hand — from the register to the deli counter. This is a hands-on role for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable multitasking, and enjoys working directly with customers. Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Manage inventory on the sales floor and in backstock, keeping shelves organized and well-stocked Price merchandise accurately and consistently Rotate stock by date to keep products fresh and minimize waste Track inventory levels and flag items that need to be reordered Receive, unload, and process incoming stock shipments Provide friendly, helpful customer service on the sales floor Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately Answer the phone and assist customers with questions Prepare and fulfill gift basket orders Assist in the deli as needed Qualifications Retail or inventory experience preferred, but not required — we're happy to train the right person Strong attention to detail and comfort with basic math for pricing and counts Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Friendly, customer-focused attitude Comfortable using a cash register and basic point-of-sale systems Good communication skills, in person and on the phone Willing to help across departments, including the deli, as needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 40 lbs Ability to stand, bend, and move around the store for extended periods Comfortable using ladders or step stools to reach shelving
