Job Summary The primary functions of this role are to provide support for production by processing receipts of goods and services being brought into the plant, inventorying semi-finished goods, raw materials, and finished goods, and supporting the shipping activities as needed. Job Duties & Responsibilities Completes data entry in Microsoft D365 to indicate receipt of goods/services received at the plant level and to keep inventory records accurate. Performs daily and periodic cycle counts of semi-finished goods, raw materials, and finished goods inventories at the decking and railing facilities. Enters inventory data into Microsoft D365 and makes needed data corrections as identified during inventory counts. Coordinates with the company controller to ensure any inventory adjustments are accurately recorded. Investigates discrepancies in inventory to assist in plant process improvement activities and to negate further discrepancies. Coordinates and leads inventory teams for annual wall to wall inventory. Provides back-up for the raw materials manager as needed; primary support will be assisting in in decking and railing scheduling. Provide back-up support for shipping functions as needed; primary support will be the scheduling of trucks and processing of shipping bill of ladings and shipping orders. Assists in the scheduled industrial hygiene sampling program and handling of equipment and sampling documentation. Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company goals. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Minimum high school diploma with technical school or college preferred. Previous experience in shipping/receiving and inventory in a manufacturing environment. processes and utilize Microsoft Office programs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to problem solve and work effectively with various functions across the organization. Occasionally exposure to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ability to drive vehicle short distance between two facilities.
