The Intake/Inventory Control Technician is responsible for receiving products, verifying their quantity and condition, accurately recording them in the inventory system, and storing them properly, essentially managing the flow of new stock into the inventory while ensuring accurate tracking and data maintenance. Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with vendors, delivery personnel, and staff. Order and receive supplies, including medications, packing materials, and equipment, ensuring inventory levels are maintained to meet pharmacy needs. Verify the accuracy of received orders, cross-checking shipments against purchase orders and invoices, and promptly addressing discrepancies with vendors. Maintain an organized and well-stocked inventory of pharmacy supplies, ensuring items are stored according to safety and regulatory guidelines. Regularly conduct inventory counts and audits to identify shortages, overages, or expired items, reporting findings to the appropriate supervisor. Prepare prescription delivery supplies, ensuring all items are packed securely and labeled accurately for shipment. Pack and prepare FedEx packages, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and pharmacy standards for safety and confidentiality. Coordinate with FedEx drivers to schedule timely pickups and deliveries, resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. Keep the packing room clean and organized, maintaining a safe workspace and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards. Monitor the condition of shipping supplies, such as boxes, tape, and labels, and reorder as necessary to avoid disruptions in operations. Ensure proper disposal of waste materials and expired supplies, adhering to pharmacy and environmental regulations. Communicate with pharmacy staff about any changes in supply levels, delivery schedules, or issues related to inventory management. Document and update inventory records accurately, including receipts, adjustments, and outgoing shipments, ensuring data is readily available for review.
