The Inventory Control and Shipping Specialist supports the manufacturing process by ensuring inventory materials are properly handled, tracked, and processed.
Responsibilities The primary responsibilities include:
Manage all inventory transactions in the ERP system Define and enforce inventory best practices, policies, and processes Sort and place received material into inventory bins Collect, organize, and deliver material kits to SMT and final assembly manufacturing lines Return unused materials to inventory Maintain accurate inventory counts by performing cycle counts and adjustments Investigate and find root causes of discrepancies Reject and process nonconforming material following processes for quality control Process move tickets and distribute material to requesters Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed Suggest process improvements for continual improvement Assist with production when needed All other tasks as apparent or assigned Qualifications The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Required:
Knowledge of inventory control processes and best practices Experience with ERP systems Organized and detail-oriented High standards for completed work Adherence to process and procedures Ability to lift 50 lbs. High school diploma Two (2) or more years of inventory control experience
Preferred:
Manufacturing experience in multiple functions of production including assembly, shipping/receiving, etc. Mechanical skills and experience with hand and power tools Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices Forklift certified Work Environment This is a full-time position based in our main office.
