Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Inventory Control Specialist and become a vital driver of our supply chain excellence! In this energetic role, you will oversee inventory accuracy, optimize stock levels, and streamline warehouse operations through data-driven insights and strategic category management. Your expertise will ensure seamless inventory flow, support procurement initiatives, and enhance overall warehouse efficiency. Monitor and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms such as AS400 and SAP to ensure optimal stock availability. Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, stock shortages, or excesses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to develop effective purchasing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize pricing models. Utilize data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Nielsen data to perform demand planning, supply chain analytics, and inventory trend analysis for informed decision-making. Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL partners for shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and materials management activities. Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing warehouse workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Manage stock replenishment cycles, demand forecasting, and stocking strategies to support retail management goals and e-commerce operations. Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control within a fast-paced environment. Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools; experience with data visualization is highly desirable. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as SAP or AS400, and materials handling equipment including forklift certification preferred. Excellent negotiation skills paired with a solid understanding of procurement processes and supplier management. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively; familiarity with demand planning software like MRP systems is a plus. Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely while managing shipping & receiving tasks or materials handling activities. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management, analysis skills for demand forecasting, and supply chain analytics.
