Job Description
About the Role Vandevere Automotive Family is seeking a highly detail-oriented, data-driven Automotive Inventory Specialist to take full ownership of our used vehicle inventory. This is a numbers-and-accuracy-focused role — the successful candidate will manage everything from tracking and pricing to merchandising and reconditioning status, while also working directly with the sales team and customers to help finalize sold deals. Success in this role depends on precision, consistency, and comfort working with data every day. No prior dealership experience is required — we're happy to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of used vehicle inventory tracking and organization with a high degree of accuracy Track vehicles through the reconditioning process and coordinate with service and detail departments Monitor inventory aging data and recommend price adjustments or promotional strategies based on market analysis Ensure vehicle listings are accurate and error-free across the dealership website and third-party platforms (photos, descriptions, pricing) Conduct regular physical lot audits to reconcile inventory records against system data Research and analyze market pricing trends to support competitive, profitable pricing decisions Coordinate with sales and management on inventory needs and vehicle positioning Work with the sales team and customers to help finalize and process sold deals Maintain precise, up-to-date records within the dealership's inventory management system (e.g., vAuto, Dealertrack, or similar) Support vehicle merchandising efforts, including photo quality and listing optimization Qualifications No prior dealership experience required — training provided Exceptional attention to detail — this role requires consistent accuracy in a fast-paced environment Strong data and analytical skills; comfortable working in spreadsheets and inventory/pricing software Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple data points across a large inventory Strong communication and customer service skills Valid driver's license required Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a sales and operations team Reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn Benefits 401(k) 5% Match Health, Dental and Vision Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
