Summary:
The Material Linen Technician receives, stocks, issues, picks up and transports linens, and equipment. Performs daily count of overages and shortages and assists with inventory control and maintains sanitary conditions within the Department.
Responsibilities:
1. Receives, stocks, issues, picks up and transports linens, and equipment which includes ancillary and outlying buildings 2. Performs daily count of overages and shortages and assists with inventory control and maintains sanitary conditions within the Department. 3. Ancillary areas are supplied with linen by maintaining established par levels. 4. All phone requests must be filled in a timely manner. 5. Scrub machines must be filled and serviced with the use of computer-generated pick list. 6. Requires entry into patient rooms and respect to patient and parent privacy. 7. Must collect soiled linen according to set procedures to prevent cross contamination. 8. Must conduct themselves in professional and courteous manner at all times. 9. Maintains sanitary conditions within the department. Trash and boxes are emptied and floor swept daily. 10. Fill in to support other Support Services areas as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
Other information:
Technical Expertise 1. Experience in linen operations is preferred. 2. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred. 3. Experience in healthcare is preferred. 4. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is preferred Education and Experience 1.
