Job Description

Inventory Management Project Specialist TCH Industries, Inc. & TCH Koehler LLC | Cleveland, OH | Full-Time, Project-Based Does this sound like you?
  • Do you enjoy taking on a defined project with a clear end goal — building a system from the ground up rather than maintaining one that already exists?
  • Are you comfortable moving between hands-on physical work in a warehouse and detailed, accurate data entry in an ERP system on the same day?
  • Can you look at how inventory moves through a facility and design a smarter way to organize it — then actually implement that plan yourself?
  • Are you looking for a role that showcases your ability to own a project end-to-end, with the opportunity to move into a new position within a growing company once it's complete?
If yes, we invite you to apply for the position of Inventory Management Project Specialist at TCH Industries & Koehler Rubber. How to Apply Step 1 — Complete our Culture Index work-trait survey (required before your application will be reviewed): https://go.cultureindex.com/s/UeZezqIfLN?g=tch Step 2 — Submit your resume outlining relevant experience and qualifications through the Culture Index link above. About Us TCH Industries has been a cornerstone in the industrial hose industry since 1983. We manufacture and distribute industrial, hydraulic, and metal hose assemblies and associated components serving customers across manufacturing, construction, automotive, aerospace, and beyond. We are a growing company — expanding through strategic acquisitions and adding capabilities at multiple locations in Northeast Ohio. Koehler Rubber & Supply Co. (now operating as TCH Koehler LLC, dba Koehler Rubber) brings more than a century of expertise to our combined organization. Founded in 1917, Koehler Rubber has spent over 100 years supplying Ohio and the Midwest with specialty fluid application products. Their team includes certified specialists in hose and fitting assembly specification, lubrication system design, pumping and dispensing systems, spray finishing, and factory-authorized service and repair. Together, TCH Industries and Koehler Rubber represent more than 140 combined years of industry expertise operating from a consolidated location in Cleveland. Accurate inventory and bin location management are the backbone of our daily operations — this project is foundational to how efficiently the whole facility runs. The Role TCH Koehler is undertaking a major inventory accuracy and warehouse organization initiative as part of our facility move. Bin locations have already been established in TrulinX and physically labeled with QR codes throughout the warehouse — but not all inventory is yet labeled or associated with its correct bin location in our system. We're hiring an Inventory Management Project Specialist to own this project from start to finish: first bringing our inventory records into full alignment with our physical bin locations, then redesigning how that inventory is organized for maximum retrieval efficiency. This is a hands-on, full-time role that combines physical warehouse work with detailed ERP data management. You will be on the floor labeling, verifying, and relocating inventory, and at a computer reconciling and correcting records in TrulinX — often within the same day. This project is expected to take full-time focus through the end of the year. Upon completion, we anticipate transitioning this person into another role within the company (such as production monitoring), and a new hire will take on the ongoing maintenance of the system you build. What You'll Do Phase I — Inventory & Bin Location Reconciliation
  • Audit existing inventory against bin locations already established and QR-labeled in TrulinX
  • Identify and label inventory that is not yet QR-coded or associated with a bin location
  • Correct and update inventory records in TrulinX to ensure every item is accurately tied to its physical location
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical inventory
  • Document processes and standards as they're developed, to support long-term maintenance of the system Phase II — Warehouse Organization & Slotting
  • Analyze inventory movement and usage frequency to classify items by retrieval priority (fast-moving "A" items vs. slow-moving "Z" items)
  • Design a bin location and slotting strategy that places high-velocity inventory closest to production and lower-velocity inventory farther away
  • Physically reorganize and relocate inventory according to the new slotting plan
  • Update TrulinX to reflect the finalized bin location and slotting structure
  • Partner with warehouse and production teams to ensure the new layout supports efficient day-to-day operations Ongoing
  • Communicate project progress, timelines, and roadblocks clearly to leadership
  • Prepare documentation and process guidance to hand off ongoing maintenance to a future team member Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field — OR equivalent hands-on experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related area
  • Experience working within an ERP system required; TrulinX experience a plus but not required — we will train
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project independently from start to finish, including planning, prioritization, and problem-solving
  • Comfortable with both physical warehouse work (standing, walking, lifting, relocating inventory) and detail-oriented desk/data work
  • Strong analytical skills — able to interpret inventory movement data and translate it into a practical organization plan
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable updating leadership on project status
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, or warehouse environments is a plus Schedule & Compensation Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm Competitive hourly wage — based on experience and/or education Overtime opportunities available Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health savings account (HSA) 401(k) with retirement plan Paid time off and paid holidays Parental leave Overtime opportunities Career advancement and growth opportunities across our expanding branch network TCH Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
