Role Description The Inventory Control Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Toledo, OH. This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels for flooring materials, tools, and supplies, ensuring that crews have what they need for scheduled projects. Day-to-day tasks include updating inventory records, reconciling discrepancies, conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories, and coordinating with shipping and receiving to track deliveries and returns. The specialist will organize storage areas, label and categorize stock, and implement inventory control procedures to reduce waste and stockouts. This role also collaborates with project managers and purchasing to forecast material needs, support job scheduling, and maintain accurate documentation for reporting and audits. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control and Inventory Management to maintain accurate stock levels and implement effective tracking processes. Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Accuracy and Physical Inventory to perform counts, reconcile records, and resolve discrepancies. Candidates should possess skills in Shipping & Receiving to coordinate incoming and outgoing materials, verify orders, and manage documentation. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Experience with inventory software or ERP systems and proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, email). Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with warehouse staff, installers, and project managers. Prior experience in management, construction, flooring, or a warehouse setting is beneficial; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Compensation starting around $45,000-$50,000, depending on experience. Additional compensation is available through performance based bonuses as well.
