Part-Time | 5 Days Per Week | 4 Hours Per Day | Approximately 20 Hours Per Week We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented person to join our team as an Inventory Control & Pricing Audit Specialist . This is a specialized position focused on inventory accuracy, date auditing, pricing accuracy, markdowns, throwaways, and receiving controls . This is an excellent position for someone who enjoys working independently, catching errors, maintaining accurate records, and helping prevent inventory loss. Primary Responsibilities Date & Code Auditing Perform routine code-date audits throughout the store. Identify products approaching their expiration, sell-by, or best-by dates. Ensure short-dated merchandise is identified early enough to be marked down and sold rather than thrown away. Maintain an organized and consistent date-auditing process. Markdown Control Identify merchandise requiring markdowns. Process markdowns accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor marked-down merchandise to help maximize sell-through. Help reduce unnecessary product loss and throwaways. Throwaway Control Accurately process and document damaged, expired, spoiled, or otherwise unsellable merchandise. Review throwaways for accuracy and identify unusual patterns. Help determine why product is being lost and identify opportunities to reduce future shrink. Incoming Shipment Audits Review incoming warehouse shipments for inventory and pricing accuracy. Audit products for pack-size errors . Verify retail pricing and identify incorrect or unusual retail prices. Review incoming products for code-date concerns , including merchandise received with insufficient remaining shelf life. Report shipment discrepancies and recurring issues to management. Inventory Control Assist with maintaining accurate perpetual inventory. Research inventory discrepancies and unusual adjustments. Help identify potential receiving, pricing, markdown, throwaway, or inventory errors. Work with department managers to correct inventory issues. Assist management with shrink-control initiatives and inventory preparation. What We Are Looking For The right person for this position should be: Extremely detail-oriented Organized and consistent Comfortable working independently Good with numbers and basic calculations Able to recognize patterns and investigate discrepancies Comfortable using computers, handheld devices, reports, and spreadsheets Able to communicate problems clearly to managers Dependable and able to follow a consistent weekly schedule Willing to question something when the numbers, pricing, dates, or inventory do not look right Grocery, retail, receiving, inventory control, bookkeeping, auditing, or loss-prevention experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

Pay:

$16.05 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
