Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description

Denver, PA Summary An Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory levels within an organization to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock management. These professionals use various methodologies and technologies to track inventory flows, resolve discrepancies, and report on inventory performance metrics. They play a critical role in facilitating smooth operations across departments such as procurement, logistics, and sales, helping organizations maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excesses and shortages. As a key contributor to supply chain operations, the Inventory Control Specialist helps ensure that resources are allocated effectively and that customer needs are met without delay. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure stock accuracy Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations Coordinate with Purchasing Department to manage stock replenishment Utilize inventory management software to analyze inventory data Assist in preparing reports on inventory performance and trends Implement inventory control procedures and best practices Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and issues Assist, interdepartmentally, on inventory management processes Collaborate with other departments to optimize inventory flow Develop and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions Ensure compliance with safety and operational policies Establish and maintain relationships with those that impact inventory Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Experience with inventory management systems and software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in data analysis and reporting techniques Familiarity with industry standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting High school diploma or equivalent Experience in inventory management or related roles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to lift and move inventory as needed Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
