Inventory Specialist

Inventory Specialist Utz Quality Foods, Inc 401(k), profit sharing United States, Pennsylvania, Hanover 861 Carlisle Street (Show on map) Sep 09, 2026 At Utz Brands, we're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our Broadwayteam in Hanover, PA. In this role, you'll support both production and receiving operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and driving continuous improvement across inventory processes. You'll work closely with plant leadership, logistics, and warehouse teams to maintain strong inventory controls and support operational success. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, stay highly organized, and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead and support end-of-month and year-end inventory activities, including physical counts and reconciliations

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions

Track and correct scanning, transaction, and process errors to improve inventory accuracy

Maintain accurate inventory transactions across systems such as ADP, D365, and Yard Management

Monitor material variances and communicate impacts to production, service levels, and leadership

Perform daily audits of inventory locations to ensure accuracy, labeling, and compliance with standards

Partner with plant leadership, operations, and supply chain teams to proactively address inventory issues

Prepare and distribute daily inventory reports and KPIs to support decision-making

Provide insights for inventory planning, including excess and obsolete materials

Support continuous improvement initiatives and system/process enhancements

Participate in GMP, safety, and inventory control audits to ensure compliance

Support loss prevention and shrink reduction efforts through monitoring and investigation

Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and inventory accuracy

Provide support for urgent issues, including occasional after-hours communication as needed

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse, or manufacturing environment

Experience with inventory counts, reconciliation, and audit processes

Familiarity with inventory systems such as ADP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Yard Management, or similar

Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data tracking and audits

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and correct process issues

Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards preferred

Flexibility to support business needs, including occasional after-hours communication

Strong leadership and communication skills

Working knowledge of ADP, D365, Yard Management and EAM systems is preferred.
