Inventory Specialist & Operations Administrative Support
Job Description
Formel D is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist & Operations Administrative Support professional to support our operations in York, PA. This role is responsible for managing material flow, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring alignment between physical stock and system data (SAP), while also supporting administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Summary of Essential Job Functions Receive incoming materials and verify that physically received inventory matches system records in SAP Perform systematic goods receipt transactions and ensure accurate documentation Maintain and monitor current inventory levels, conducting regular audits to ensure alignment between SAP records and physical stock Execute material movements, transfers, and shipments both physically and systematically, ensuring accurate counts and traceability Prepare and send outgoing materials, verifying quantities and documentation for accuracy Communicate effectively with receiving and shipping counterparts across different warehouse locations to coordinate material flow Track and manage rejected or non-conforming material in a separate offline inventory system Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure proper handling and disposition of rejected/bad parts Support SAP data entry, inventory adjustments, and reporting activities Assist with data analysis and reporting related to inventory accuracy, discrepancies, and material flow Provide general administrative and office support Knowledge and Skills Strong understanding of inventory management principles and material flow processes Experience with SAP, specifically material movements, goods receipts, and transfers Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook High attention to detail with strong organizational and record-keeping skills Ability to perform inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination Basic knowledge of administrative procedures, reporting, and documentation practices Education and Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in material handling, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred Experience working with SAP in a logistics or inventory environment strongly preferred Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook required Special Requirements Ability to work in a warehouse environment Capable of handling physical material movement as required Strong focus on accuracy, accountability, and process adherence
