As an Inventory Support Specialist, you will organize and document inventory, maintain accurate records in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and support warehouse inventory control initiatives. This is a contract opportunity with a long-term assignment lasting up to 12 months, depending on systems and equipment additions. - 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience Experience in inventory control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or related functions Experience operating a reach truck or willingness to demonstrate safe operation Experience entering data into inventory or maintenance systems Preferred Education and Experience Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or inventory management software Experience with barcode scanning, asset tracking, or warehouse management systems Previous experience in manufacturing, maintenance, industrial, or distribution environments Forklift certification or previous material handling equipment experience General Requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and process improvement abilities Commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain organized inventory records and documentation Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment Essential Functions Create and maintain accurate inventory records within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Enter, categorize, and organize parts, materials, and equipment information in the inventory system. Develop and document inventory procedures and processes to support consistent inventory management practices. Organize parts, materials, and equipment within warehouse and designated storage areas. Conduct inventory audits, inspections, and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy. Prepare inventory records and materials for future barcode scanning and tracking initiatives. Arrange and store inventory within designated warehouse locations and vertical lift modules. Collaborate with maintenance and operations personnel to identify, catalog, and document inventory items. Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse and inventory storage areas. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks in accordance with established safety requirements. Support inventory control and organization initiatives as inventory systems and equipment assets expand.
