MAJOR DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to maintain accurate inventory of raw material coming from our parent company in Japan. This includes, inventory reviews to optimize inventory level, auditing raw material receiving process, lead-time, purchase orders, components packaging and maintaining and monitoring all internal documents related to components.
- Work with warehouse supervisor to maximize available warehouse space to store components.
- Interface and trains with Production Control Planners to achieve Production schedule, ensuring the availability of components to support production plan.
- Assist conducting and reconciling physical inventory.
- Coordinates the daily receiving/scheduling activities of containers from Japan
- Monitors components updates from Purchasing and Engineering department. This includes the coordination of new components and any revision in bill of material.
- Works with Production Control to develop solution for potential components shortage, by analyzing safety stock level, lead-time and material flow. Cooperating with PC in decision-making.
- Develops detailed components shortage report and material requirements list for current components.
- Monitors production activity to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials to meet production requirements.
- Troubleshoots and monitors potential scheduling problems, maintaining records such as production report, forecasts, ECOM and material shortage.
- Able to prioritize specific components orders and if necessary, coordinate with PC to revise production schedule
- Check receiving entries for accuracy and missed receipts.
- Update Ecom monthly for material from TRJ.
- Assist in implementing barcode system.
- Help maintain inventory accuracy of WIP from barcode system scans.
- Receive TMA and other THK invoices.
- Provide 3 month customer demand forecast monthly.
- Provide supplier performance score monthly.
- Schedule and order material from international and domestic vendors.
- Maintain inventory accuracy between physical inventory counts.
- Serves as key point in our inventory management activities.
- Assist with resolving issues/training with current ERP system
- Post production entries from tablet to ERP system.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
APICS:
Basics of Supply Chain Management Certification or equivalent
- Inventory management experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills including:
Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
