Job Description
O.W. Lee TX Inc. is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing inventory, supporting production needs, and ensuring materials are properly stored and accounted for. The Inventory Specialist works closely with the Purchasing Department and production supervisors to keep inventory levels accurate and ensure materials are available when needed. What You'll Do Assist with unloading incoming shipments using a forklift and move products to their proper storage locations. Stock and organize the inventory cage and maintain accurate inventory records. Maintain Kanban cards for inventory items. Perform weekly and as-needed cycle counts and research inventory discrepancies. Communicate low inventory levels to the Purchasing Department and department supervisors. Maintain accurate records of scrap and report inventory adjustments as needed. Ensure proper handling, labeling, organization, and storage of products and materials. Use computer systems and inventory software to enter and update inventory information. Respond to emails and communicate with Purchasing, warehouse employees, supervisors, and production personnel. Operate a forklift safely and follow all company safety procedures. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. One to two years of related inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred. Forklift operating experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Comfortable using computers for data entry and inventory tracking. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Epicor or other inventory management software is a plus. Basic math and record-keeping skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Work Environment This position works in both an office and manufacturing/warehouse environment and may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment and typical manufacturing noise.
