#90044 Job Description A retail client is looking for an Inventory Specialist who will be responsible for keeping merchandise stocked, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth store or warehouse operations.

Inventory Specialist Pay Rate :
$22/hr on W2 (DOE)
Duration:
September 2026
  • December 2026 (with possible extension)
Schedule:
40 hours a week Needs to be
FLEXIBLE
(weekend and consistent overtime) 6:00AM
  • 2:00PM (can be 2 shifts) 10:00AM
  • 6:00PM (can be 2 shifts)

Responsibilities:
Perform daily inventory checks across stockroom and sales floor locations Verify physical inventory against system data to identify discrepancies Scan product barcodes and shelf labels using handheld scanner devices Accurately record inventory quantities across: Backroom stock Sales floor shelves Overstock / top stock areas Complete structured data collection processes and submit verified entries Conduct product lookup and location verification as needed Participate in daily inventory audit workflows, including: Backroom inventory validation Front-of-store shelf checks Ensure all data entries are accurate and validated prior to submission Follow standard operating procedures for data collection and system usage Assist in identifying inventory gaps and supporting corrective actions
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience in retail, warehouse, or inventory-related roles preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to follow structured processes and standard operating procedures Comfortable using handheld scanners or mobile applications Ability to work independently and consistently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse software Familiarity with barcode scanning and product tracking processes Previous experience performing cycle counts or inventory audits Work Environment Combination of backroom (stockroom) and sales floor work Frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the store May require handling and scanning physical product inventory Key Success Metrics Accuracy of inventory data submitted Timeliness and completion of daily inventory checks Ability to identify and report discrepancies Role Impact This role plays a critical part in improving inventory accuracy, reducing discrepancies between system data and physical stock, and supporting better product availability and operational efficiency.
