Job Description

Muenster Pet's newest custom pet food production in Denton, Texas is hiring! We are looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to support our production team and provide necessary inventory support to our production facility.
THIS IS A FLOOR POSITION IN A FOOD MANUFACTURING FACILITY
. Experience working with high volume work orders, heavy inventory system transactional work is a must. Working at a food production facility is ideal.
Summary and Objective:
The Inventory Control Clerk is a self-motivated and independent worker who can manage a wide range of inventory ranging from bulk raw meat, premixes, packaging and finished products that will ship to the customer. The role involves meticulously tracking and managing inventory throughout the production process, utilizing NetSuite and handheld scanners for recording transactions, labeling items and shipping and receiving inventory. While not directly involved in assembly, the Inventory Control Clerk supports operations by ensuring accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and coordinating with the supply chain. Key responsibilities include managing production work orders, maintaining batch sheets, proper coding, shipping and receiving inventory and addressing defective items. Scheduled Shift We have multiple opportunities available:
ICC Packaging Day:
Monday•Friday 7am-4:30pm
ICC Packaging Night:
Monday•Friday 3:30pm•12am (subject to change)
ICC Production Room Day:
12-hour 2-2-3 schedule (Panama schedule)•Week 1 starting
Monday:
Work 2 days (M T) → Off 2 days (W TH) → Work 3 days (F•S-Su) = 48 hours Week 2: Off 2 days → Work 2 days → Off 3 days = 36 hours. Then the rotation repeats. •Flexible with environment; ability to work in other departments is necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates and reviews production work orders, issues material to work orders, completes work orders, and closes work orders Manages production log and batch sheets, ensuring accuracy between physical logs and ERP system Responsible for ensuring proper code and lot dating of products Prints and applies item labels to work in process inventory and finished goods. Performs cycle counts and maintains correct inventory through production process in real time Record product weights and quantities of product produced Monitors status of all open work orders and ensures the real time and daily completion of all transactions to ensure an accurate inventory Coordinates with supply chain to receive shipments of in-bound raw material Ensures accurate accounting of and disposition of all defective or damaged products Responsible for generating inter-company transfer records for the shipment of raw materials and finished goods Follows assigned standard operating procedures while providing feedback on how inventory management processes can be improved. Generally works in a temperature controlled environment. Frequent exposure to refrigerated conditions and items are at or around 35°. May be exposed to•20° while managing products in the freezer. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or other team leader.
Experience and Education:
A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting or coordinating inventory, purchasing and/or working with complex supply chain related systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.) A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a production or warehouse environment, food production preferred. Experience in NetSuite or inventory management or related ERP required. Forklift Certified is preferred. Must be able to pass forklift certification in one month. HS Diploma or GED required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Personal Characteristics:
Must be well-organized, detail & action-oriented, able to multitask, and prioritize multiple projects/tasks. Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively in oral and written communication. Self-directed, resourceful, and ability to problem solve while making effective decisions in both a team environment and individually. Ability to use various computer systems, including Microsoft Office, with high levels of proficiency. Commitment to complete work within established time parameters and within budget while flexible enough to meet special project deadlines as required. Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software including Excel and PowerPoint.
Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:
Follow the proper hand-washing, sanitization, cleanliness, dress and grooming requirements. Adhere to SQF, FSMA, Sanitation, GMP's and HACCP requirements. Follow the Company's procedures and processes for food safety and worker safety.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work within a plant environment. The work requires the ability to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel for extended periods of time scanning/tracking data. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms to assess inventory in assigned room, and talk and listen to ensure production is completed according to production schedule and accurately report data in NetSuite. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud in plant. Must be able to work in an environment with strong odors and varying temperatures.
Location and Travel:
The position is based full-time onsite at an assigned manufacturing facility with the ability to travel to other locations, as needed.
