BP Energy seeks a Specialist, Retail Supply to manage power and natural gas supply for U.S. retail customers from our Houston office. In this role you'll schedule and optimize supply, coordinate with trading, risk, and operations teams, and ensure reliable, cost effective delivery across pipelines, ISOs, and utilities. You'll analyze load forecasts and market data, support pricing for new deals, and uphold strict safety, regulatory, and control standards. Responsibilities Manage daily retail natural gas and power supply scheduling and nominations across U. S. markets Optimize supply portfolios to balance reliability, cost, and risk in alignment with customer contracts and BP trading strategies Monitor pipeline, ISO, and utility constraints and coordinate with trading, operations, and risk teams to resolve imbalances Analyze load forecasts, usage patterns, and market data to support purchasing decisions and margin optimization Ensure accurate, timely data entry and validation in ETRM and scheduling systems Support structuring and pricing teams with supply assumptions, basis, and transportation costs for new deals Prepare reports on supply performance, positions, and variances for commercial and risk stakeholders Maintain compliance with regulatory, contractual, and BP safety and control standards in all scheduling activities Contribute to process improvements, automation efforts, and best practices for retail supply operations Collaborate with cross functional teams and participate in training to build expertise in power and gas markets Required Skills Energy trading and retail power/gas fundamentals Natural gas and power scheduling and nominations ETRM systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, Right Angle) Data analysis and reporting (Excel, Power BI, or similar) Load forecasting and demand analysis Knowledge of pipelines, ISOs, and utility markets Contract and tariff interpretation Risk and imbalance management Process improvement and workflow documentation Regulatory and compliance awareness in energy markets
