Purchasing & Inventory Specialist $20-$22/ Hour | Full-Time | 40 Hours Guaranteed Drive Accuracy. Support Growth. Make an Impact. At The Stewart Organization, operational excellence starts with having the right products available at the right time while maintaining accurate inventory and responsible purchasing practices. We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to join our Operations team. Why This Role Matters The Purchasing & Inventory Specialist plays a vital role in supporting operational and financial performance. Your work directly influences inventory accuracy, product availability, purchasing efficiency, supplier performance, inventory investment, operational productivity, and process consistency. What You'll Do Purchasing & Supplier Coordination Manage purchasing activities for multiple company locations utilizing our ERP platform. Analyze inventory levels, demand trends, and business needs to determine purchasing requirements. Create, review, and maintain purchase orders with a high degree of accuracy. Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, deliveries, and backorders. Monitor open purchase orders and communicate expected delivery dates. Support supplier performance management and maintain appropriate inventory levels. Inventory Control & Accuracy Maintain inventory accuracy across warehouses and storage locations. Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and variance investigations. Research discrepancies and identify root causes. Monitor inventory movement and support optimization efforts. Execute approved inventory adjustments and support automation initiatives. Reporting, Analysis & Continuous Improvement Utilize reporting tools and dashboards to support decisions. Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiency. Tools & Technology You'll Use e-Automate e-Views Tableau Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Teams Zoom Paycom OneNote Scribe What Success Looks Like Improve inventory accuracy and visibility Reduce discrepancies and stock shortages Strengthen purchasing effectiveness and supplier communication Support process improvement initiatives Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Strong computer proficiency Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational and communication skills Comfortable working in office and warehouse settings Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree 2+ years in Purchasing, Inventory Control, Supply Chain, or related role ERP experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills Familiarity with e-Automate, e-Views, Tableau, Paycom, Teams, Zoom, OneNote, or Scribe Compensation & Benefits $20.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications Guaranteed 40-hour workweek Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Long-Term Disability Coverage Professional Development Opportunities Schedule Full-time | Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week guaranteed | Occasional evening or weekend inventory activities may be required.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
