RV Depot is one of Texas' fastest-growing RV dealerships, and we're looking for an ambitious Inventory Acquisition Specialist to help us source quality pre-owned RVs directly from private sellers. This is not a traditional purchasing position. You'll spend your days identifying opportunities, negotiating with sellers, traveling to inspect RVs, and closing deals that keep our inventory full. If you're confident on the phone, comfortable negotiating face-to-face, and have a solid understanding of RVs, this could be an outstanding career opportunity. What You'll Do Contact private RV owners advertising units on RV Trader, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and other online marketplaces. Build rapport with sellers and negotiate dealership purchase offers. Explain the advantages of selling directly to a dealership. Schedule and travel to appointments throughout Texas and surrounding states when necessary. Perform detailed inspections of motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and other RVs. Evaluate overall condition, equipment, maintenance history, and repair needs. Determine fair market value and negotiate profitable purchase prices. Complete purchase paperwork and ensure all required documentation is accurate. Coordinate transportation and delivery of purchased inventory. Maintain detailed notes and records within the dealership CRM. Meet monthly purchasing and profitability goals. We're Looking For Someone Who Enjoys negotiating and closing deals. Is comfortable making outbound phone calls every day. Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Can think independently and make sound business decisions. Is self-motivated and works well with minimal supervision. Is organized and detail-oriented. Enjoys traveling throughout Texas. Is comfortable using technology, CRM systems, and online marketplaces. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience buying or selling RVs, automobiles, powersports, heavy equipment, or similar products. Strong negotiating or sales experience. Working knowledge of RV systems and construction. Ability to identify damage, repairs, and mechanical concerns. Experience evaluating vehicle values and market conditions. Minimum Requirements Must be 24 years of age or older Valid Texas Driver License with a clean driving record Ability to travel regularly, including occasional overnight travel Ability to tow and/or drive various RVs is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform detailed inspections in various weather conditions High School Diploma or GED Training We provide training on: Our purchasing process RV valuation methods Inspection standards Required paperwork and title procedures Internal software and CRM systems Candidates should already possess a basic understanding of RVs and demonstrate strong negotiating ability.
