Property Restoration / Fire & Smoke Damage DC Restoration is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Textile Cleaning & Contents Inventory Technician to join our San Antonio team. This position specializes in handling textiles and personal property affected by fire, smoke, soot, water, and other property losses. This is a hands-on position that requires strong attention to detail. In addition to cleaning and processing textiles, you will be responsible for accurately documenting, photographing, inventorying, packing, and tracking customers' belongings throughout the restoration process. Responsibilities Inventory, photograph, document, and carefully pack textiles and personal belongings from residential and commercial properties. Create detailed inventories for insurance claims and restoration projects. Tag, label, organize, and track items from pack-out through cleaning and final return. Clean and process clothing, linens, bedding, soft goods, and other textiles affected by fire, smoke, soot, odor, and water damage. Identify items requiring specialized cleaning or handling. Maintain accurate documentation and records throughout the restoration process. Assist with pack-outs and pack-backs at customer properties. Handle customers' belongings carefully and respectfully. Maintain a clean, organized textile processing and storage area. Communicate with supervisors regarding damaged, non-restorable, or questionable items. Follow company safety procedures and established restoration processes. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for photographs, inventory, and documentation. Ability to accurately enter descriptions and information for insurance-related inventories. Ability to work with clothing, household textiles, and personal property affected by smoke, soot, water, and odors. Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Professional and respectful when working inside customers' homes and businesses. Ability to lift, carry, pack, and move boxes and household contents. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred. Previous restoration, contents, textile cleaning, dry cleaning, inventory, warehouse, or insurance-loss experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
