Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and optimizing supply chain processes. This position requires strong analytical skills and experience in warehouse management, procurement, and logistics. The Inventory Specialist will collaborate with various departments to enhance inventory accuracy and improve overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Conduct regular audits of inventory to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements and reporting. Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan for replenishment. Analyze data related to inventory turnover, stock levels, and supplier performance. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in inventory control practices. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms. Assist in the development of category management strategies for effective merchandising. Facilitate shipping & receiving processes, ensuring timely order fulfillment. Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for reporting insights on inventory trends. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory management. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., AS400) and data analytics tools (e.g., SQL). Strong understanding of logistics, procurement processes, and materials handling. Experience with financial analysis related to inventory costs and pricing strategies. Knowledge of demand planning techniques and supply chain analytics is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in a warehouse environment. Previous experience in e-commerce or retail management is a plus.
