Job Summary:

The Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, organization, and efficiency of inventory management within the warehouse. This position is responsible for researching inventory discrepancies, conducting cycle counts, and overseeing other inventory-related tasks. The Inventory Specialist collaborates with team members to resolve inventory issues and improve overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconciliation of inventory records to ensure accuracy.
• Research and analyze inventory discrepancies reported by team members, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain accurate inventory records, including product locations, quantities, and statuses.
• Collaborate with warehouse leadership to implement effective inventory control measures and best practices.
• Identify and propose process improvements to reduce discrepancies and enhance overall inventory accuracy.
• Provide guidance and support to warehouse associates regarding inventory-related tasks and procedures.
• Communicate inventory issues and resolutions effectively to leadership and other departments.
• Work closely with receiving, picking, and shipping teams to ensure seamless inventory management across operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment during all inventory activities.
• Assist with various warehouse tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably in a leadership/lead role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and warehouse operations.
• Proficient in using scanners, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and basic computer applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for problem-solving inventory issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and leadership.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to daily workflow changes.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, and performing repetitive hand motions.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
