The Materials and Inventory Coordinator owns all carton and packaging inventory for the shell egg plant. This is a full-time, hourly position reporting to the Plant Manager. The coordinator receives inbound shipments, keeps warehouse stock at the right levels, and makes sure the plant has the cartons it needs, when it needs them. The role runs largely on its own, so it calls for someone who works independently, takes real ownership of the position, and brings the maturity to make sound day-to-day decisions without close oversight. Key Responsibilities Manage all carton inventory for shell eggs, keeping warehouse stock at appropriate levels. Arrange and receive all inbound carton and packaging shipments. Determine the specific days and quantities of cartons that need to be brought up to the plant. Apply 5S standards to keep carton storage inside the plant clean, organized, and orderly. Operate a yard hustler (yard truck) to move trailers and stage inbound and outbound loads. Step in to assist with production positions at the shell plant as needed. Qualifications and Experience Forklift and electric pallet jack experience preferred. We will train the right candidate who does not yet have it. Proven ability to work independently and manage a role with limited day-to-day supervision. Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and maturity in making sound decisions. Well-organized, with attention to detail in tracking inventory and stock levels. Comfortable communicating and coordinating with production, receiving, and plant leadership. Schedule and Work Environment Full-time, hourly position. Hours include weekend work depending on production and shipment schedules. Work is performed in and around the shell egg plant and warehouse, including a refrigerated food-production environment. Involves standing, walking, lifting, and operating powered equipment for extended periods.
