Position Overview The Hardware Logistics & Inventory Technician is responsible for ensuring that hardware and engineering teams have the materials, tools, and components required to operate efficiently. This role owns inventory accuracy, material flow, and kitting to support robotics development, testing, and deployment activities. This position plays a critical role in reducing downtime, improving build efficiency, and supporting scalable operations within lab and test environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and consumables Perform routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies Track high-value and long-lead components Ensure inventory systems are up to date and reliable Kitting & Build Support Prepare and stage material kits for hardware builds and test activities Ensure all required components are available prior to scheduled work Support testbed and reliability teams with repeatable material setups Material Flow & Organization Own physical organization of inventory areas, bins, and storage systems Label and standardize part locations for ease of access Continuously improve layout to reduce search time and inefficiencies Receiving & Coordination Receive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders Log and track incoming materials in inventory systems Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams on material needs Shortage Identification & Escalation Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages Communicate risks that may impact builds, testing, or deployment timelines Escalate issues proactively to prevent operational delays
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a background check & client hire requirements Must possess a friendly and collaborative demeanor to work as a part of team Ability to solve problems, adapt or recommend changes to improve outcomes Competency in following quality control and safety measures Ability to work independently, as well as be a part of a cohesive team environment Ability to follow instructions of engineer or supervisor Must possess initiative, and common sense Ability to stand / be on your feet for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks Ability to be mobile throughout the labs and workspace or active warehouse environments Demonstrated work ethic and reliable attendance Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts to meet demands and needs of company and client deadlines Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of materials and components unassisted and without accommodation Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
