Role:
As a Freight Handler, you will be responsible for the daily intake, processing, billing, and tracking of freight shipments from arrival to final delivery. This is a full-time position. Evening and weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities:
Receive and intake freight shipments from customers and vendors Accurately weigh, label, and log all incoming and outgoing freight Bill freight charges using company systems and ensure correct documentation Track freight throughout its journey to final destination Communicate with pilots, ground crew, and customers regarding freight status and delivery updates Ensure freight is handled safely, securely, and efficiently to prevent damage or loss Maintain a clean and organized freight intake and storage area Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and dollies
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift Basic computer skills and ability to learn freight tracking software Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays Previous freight or warehouse experience is a plus but not required
