Snow Removal Assistant / Shoveler Storm Hudson Inc Anchorage, AK Job Details Contract $20 - $28 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Safety protocol adherence Outdoor work experience Ability to follow instructions Hand tools Full Job Description We are seeking reliable and hardworking Snow Removal Assistants and Shovelers to support snow and ice removal operations. Employees will work as part of a team to keep sidewalks, walkways, entrances, stairs, and other designated areas safe and accessible during winter weather events. Key Responsibilities Perform snow and ice removal by hand using shovels, walk-behind snow blowers, and sidewalk brooms. Clear sidewalks, walkways, entrances, stairs, and other designated areas. Assist with spreading salt, ice melt, and other de-icing materials. Assist equipment operators as needed during snow-removal operations. Follow directions from the Foreman and Project Manager to ensure all assigned areas are properly serviced. Work extended, overnight, early-morning, or weekend hours as needed during snow events. Perform work safely in cold, snowy, icy, and changing weather conditions. Inspect work areas and report hazards or areas requiring additional attention. Maintain and properly care for company tools and equipment. Work effectively as part of a team and assist with other snow-removal duties as needed. Qualifications No prior experience necessary — training provided. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are required. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in winter weather. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, shoveling, pushing, and walking for extended periods. Must be safety-conscious and able to follow instructions. Must be available for on-call and/or emergency snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
