Job Description
Job Purpose To provide general relief in support of line positions, under daily direction. In this position you will have the opportunity to: Assist in maintaining housekeeping in any area of the facility directed by the shift supervisor Clean and maintain housekeeping for sawline - minimum two times per shift Clean and maintain housekeeping for press pit (night shift) Assist in areas of regrading, paint booth, strapper, and sawline as directed by shift supervisor Use mobile equipment, power and hand tools to process waste and reclaim material (reclaim bark for bark burner, reclaim processed wood from dryer area) Inspects equipment on a daily basis to ensure proper and continuous operations Break out sawline, strapper, and forklift driver as needed Cross-train in other position throughout the mill to cover operational requirements Assist with tasks to reduce unscheduled downtime (clearing airlocks, cleaning woodburner, etc.) Basic or light preventative maintenance duties Perform other duties as necessary.
