Driver/ Helper Eagle Express Trucking, LLC Huntsville, AL Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $150 - $180 a day 5 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication In-person customer service Moving Driver's License Performing background checks Hand tools Full Job Description Eagle Express Trucking is seeking reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused Appliance and Furniture Delivery Drivers/Helpers to join our team. This position is responsible for safely delivering, moving, assembling, and installing appliances and furniture in customers' homes while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and deliver appliances and furniture to customer homes and businesses.
- Move heavy items such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, furniture, and other large products.
- Assist with in-home placement, assembly, and basic installation of appliances and furniture when required.
- Perform appliance hookups, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other approved installations based on experience and training.
- Remove and haul away old appliances or furniture when assigned.
- Inspect products for damage before and after delivery.
- Protect customers' homes by using proper equipment and care when moving items through doorways, hallways, and stairways.
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Complete delivery paperwork and document any damages or customer concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.
- Work as part of a two-person or three-person delivery team.
- Arrive on time and be prepared to complete assigned routes efficiently. Requirements
- Previous appliance delivery, furniture delivery, moving, or installation experience is preferred but not always required.
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy items, often 50-100+ pounds, with assistance and proper equipment.
- Valid driver's license required for driver positions.
- Experience driving a box truck is preferred for driver positions.
- Ability to work long shifts and handle multiple deliveries per day.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to work well with a team.
- Ability to pass any required background check or company screening. Preferred Skills
- Appliance installation experience.
- Furniture assembly experience.
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
- Experience using hand tools and moving equipment such as dollies and hand trucks.
- Box truck driving experience.
- Ability to safely navigate stairs, tight spaces, and residential homes.
