Hydrovac experience is required
- Responsible for assisting the hydrovac operator in the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including (but may not be limited to) utility line exposure, debris removal, trenching and digging
- Regularly cleans, inspects, and maintains company vehicle and all other equipment that may be assigned by collaborating closely with mechanics and/or managers
- Secure and safely transport equipment needed for the job according to company policy and DOT regulations
- Responsible for utilizing required safety and work equipment, as well as making sure all equipment and PPE is inspected and regularly cleaned or maintained for proper function and safe use
- Responsible for attending and participating in Job Safety Analysis and Pre-Job Safety Meeting regarding possible hazards when arriving at a work location - prior to starting each job
- Responsible for properly completing and submitting field tickets or other appropriate documents showing work time and job performed
- Communicate effectively and regularly with management regarding jobs, hazards, needs, etc.
- Comply with all company and client safety/DOT policies to work safely in a potentially hazardous environment
- Ability to read a map or receive directions over the phone
- Ability to work under extreme stress and in small spaces
- Ability to multi-task and easily problem solve during high stress situations
- Ability to use independent judgment and make swift decisions, and know when to discuss issues with Operations Manager.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Most work is performed in extreme temperature environments. Incumbent may be exposed to loud noises, extreme cold or heat, rain, snow, sleet, hail, wind, dust, mud and uneven ground surfaces.
- Incumbent is required to visit company truck yard or client site. During that time incumbent may be exposed to loud noises, toxic fumes, extreme cold or heat, wind, rain, hail or snow.
- Personal protective equipment required when visiting all client sites.
- Incumbent may encounter rough, uneven roads that jostles employee up and down, side to side
- Incumbent will lift weights up to 50 pounds and must lift, push, pull and hold heavy objects
- Incumbent will climb stairs, bend, stretch and twist side to side daily
