Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Handler to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring accurate order picking, loading, unloading, and inventory management. Responsibilities Safely load and unload shipments using various heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes. Operate material handling equipment with precision to move goods efficiently around the warehouse. Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and manual handling techniques. Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent stock counting, recording, and updating using inventory management systems. Ensure all shipping and receiving procedures comply with safety protocols and OSHA standards. Assist in organizing warehouse space for optimal storage and easy access to materials. Follow safety guidelines during heavy lifting, manual handling, and operation of heavy machinery to prevent accidents or injuries. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related warehouse operations. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, or other heavy equipment. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and materials handling procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety protocols. Basic math skills for counting stock, measuring loads, and verifying quantities accurately. Prior experience as a warehouse supervisor or in warehouse operations is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
