Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-time Laborer to join our outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining beautiful landscapes, grounds, and outdoor spaces through hands-on work and operation of various tools and equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in landscaping, groundskeeping, and horticulture while contributing to the upkeep of vibrant outdoor environments. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about outdoor work, safety-conscious, and eager to learn new techniques in landscape maintenance. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, mowing, and trimming trees and shrubs Operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers and watering schedules Support lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating turf areas Perform hardscape maintenance including cleaning pathways, repairing walkways, and managing outdoor structures Identify plants accurately to assist with gardening and horticulture tasks Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to ensure a safe work environment Experience Prior outdoor work experience or landscaping background preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of mechanical systems related to groundskeeping equipment is advantageous Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as pesticide management, tree care, and snow plowing is a plus Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools Strong understanding of safety procedures related to power tools and outdoor work environments Basic knowledge of plant identification and horticulture principles beneficial for supporting garden projects
Pay:
$19.65 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
