Job Description

VetPride Services is seeking Laborers in support of landscaping and grounds maintenance at the Hurlburt Field Air Force Base (AFB) in Florida. VetPride Services gives preference on hiring Veterans and Military Personnel. This position may be subject to layoffs in the off seasons.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm

Hourly Rate:

$17.75 |

Health & Welfare Fringe Benefit:

$4.93 (as required by the SCA)

•Your Health and Welfare Fringe Benefit will be paid to you in cash (not to exceed 40 hours per week). Your total hourly wage will be $22.68 . Primary Duties and Responsibilities Conduct general landscaping and grounds maintenance duties including but not limited to: trimming, edging, blowing, mowing, hedging, pulling weeds, laying mulch, cutting limbs. Safely operate equipment as designed. Abide by all rules and regulations set by the Hurlburt Field AFB. Effectively work as a team member with other employees to ensure safe and successful project completion. Report to duty in company issued uniform; personal hygiene and a professional appearance is expected at all times. Report any issues or concerns to the site Project Manager. Willingness to train on all equipment, as needed. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment, as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Must be at least 18 years of age. Will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background and DMV check. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Ability to work outside in inclement weather. Must be able to perform a moderate and repeated amount of pushing, walking, standing, crawling, kneeling, bending, and climbing. Consistent attendance and reliability required. Ability to understand, speak, and write basic English. Must have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others. Experience Requirements Prior landscaping experience, preferred 1-year driving experience Required Licenses or Certifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid/Current Driver s License Benefits Paid Time Off Sick Leave Paid Federal Holidays Access to 401k Retention Bonuses Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm
