Driver Helper

Responsibilities Assist drivers with loading and unloading freight using equipment such as Appliances Help secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit, ensuring safety standards are met Support drivers in navigating routes efficiently, including shuttle driving, route driving, or heavy haul operations Conduct safety inspections of vehicles like box trucks, flatbeds, or dump trucks before departure Communicate effectively with drivers and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, load/unload logs, and delivery records Support warehouse operations by moving freight within the facility using appropriate mechanical knowledge and equipment Experience Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, tanker trucks, or yard jockeys is a plus Hands-on experience with load & unload procedures and warehouse environments enhances your suitability for this role Strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers and team members effectively Mechanical knowledge related to commercial vehicles like box trucks, flatbeds, or limousines is advantageous Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving freight using pallet jacks or manual handling tools Prior experience with heavy haul or military logistics operations is beneficial but not required This Driver Helper position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in transportation.
