Performance Responsibilities and Areas of Accountability:
Utilize all standard operating procedures in relation to plate fabrication and stud gunning Ensure that product standards, both as to quality and productivity are met Processing paper work with accuracy and detail Apply all safety measures when working in the shop and with machines/ hand tools Maintain a positive attitude
Requirements Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to receive/read instructions and implement specific instructions Ability to review prints Strong attention to detail Must be able to take and follow directions Knowledge of different material types (e.g. carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum.) Blueprint reading/interpretation Comprehension of AWS weld callouts Interpreting section and projected views of a 2D drawing GMAW (MIG) Welding Experience Minimum 6+ months on the job experience in flat and horizontal positions FCAW (fluxcore) is a plus General use of hand and power tools Angle grinder, hammers, chisels, pry bars, clamps Layout tools Tape measure, squares, bevel squares, levels (all within 1/16") Oxy/Fuel Cutting Torch Safe operation and ability to cut materials ranging in ¼"-1" in thickness Forklift Experience is a plus Overhead crane operation is a plus General understanding of safe practices, methods and use of PPE Applicants must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended period of time, lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs, crawl on hands and knees, climb a ladder and be able to work long hours. This position works outdoors year-round and therefore subject to all weather conditions, sometimes to include extreme cold and heat.
Education:
High School Diploma Experience:
Maintain and operate cutting torches, stick and wire welding equipment. Ability to read blueprints 3+ years in a relevant area
