Job Description

Position Summary:
The Production Line Material Handler primarily reviews the production schedule daily to ensure there is enough supplies in the warehouse and delivers them to the production lines, as well as hauling the finished pack stock from the production lines to the shipping warehouse.
Essential Functions:
This list is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time. Safely operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and moving product. Excellent communication and organization skills to supply the production lines with the correct supplies with correct codes and dates Ability to pull supplies from the warehouse by the oldest dates. Transfer pack stock to the shipping warehouse. Fill out and turn-in pack cards with products dates and codes at the end of the day. Weekly inventory counts for the next weeks schedule. Gather supplies from other parts of the plant and unload pallet trailers. Know the hold tag procedures for BBQ and Spun products. Assist management with the ordering of tier sheets, slip sheets, etc. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Attendance is a priority. Self-motivated and self-directed. Accurate and precise attention to detail. Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize. Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals. Legible handwriting. Able to work overtime and weekends as needed. Some computer skills are necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have strong organizational skills and able to prioritize. Able to work with cross-functional departments within the organization. Good problem-solving skills. Trained on forklift use and safety. Driver's license required.
Physical Requirements:
Required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Close vision abilities required. Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds continuously. Work in extreme cold and heat conditions. Description of the

This position is part of the Plant and most of the work will take place within the Plant portion of the facility. This position will come in contact with many other employees within the facility and it is the expectation of the organization that we always maintain an attitude of dignity and respect when interacting with each other.
