Job Title:
Laborer - Powder Coater Job Description This night-shift role supports a powder coating production line by preparing, loading, unloading, and inspecting parts. You will perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks while standing for most of the shift, helping to ensure parts are coated correctly, safely handled, and meet quality standards. Responsibilities Stand for extended periods while working on a powder coat production line. Hang coated parts on hooks and racks in a consistent and efficient manner. Change hooks and racks and set up the line to accommodate different parts and production runs. Load parts onto the line before coating and unload parts from the line after coating. Insert plugs into parts before coating and remove plugs from parts after coating as required. Inspect parts for defects, damage, or coating issues and report any concerns promptly. Communicate clearly with coworkers and collaborate as part of a production team. Follow all safety regulations and standard operating procedures at all times. Promote a safe workplace by reporting unsafe acts, conditions, or equipment. Perform various other production and general labor duties as required to support the line. Essential Skills Ability to perform general and physical labor in a manufacturing environment. Capability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks safely and consistently. Experience or familiarity with powder coating processes in a production setting. Comfort working in a general production and manufacturing environment. Basic forklift operation experience or willingness to work around forklifts in a safe manner. Ability to follow safety regulations and adhere to workplace safety practices. Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with others on the line. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a forklift operator in a manufacturing or production environment is an asset. Previous experience in general production, manufacturing, or powder coating is beneficial. Willingness to perform a variety of duties and adapt to changing production needs. No formal qualifications or additional certifications are required for this role. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing, production line-style environment focused on powder coating operations. You will work on a night shift, spending most of your time on your feet at or near the production line. The role involves repetitive tasks, handling parts, and working around manufacturing equipment, including forklifts. The setting is industrial, with typical production noise and activity, and requires adherence to all safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.36 - $17.36/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
