MA Class D Driver's License ( Must be obtained within ( 6 ) six months of hire) SUMMARY The City of Chicopee's Department of Public Works
  • Sanitation/Recycling Division is hiring a Recycling Laborer who will be responsible for picking up and loading trash and recycling materials throughout the city into vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE
Runs a hopper. Picks up trash/recycling products. Loads trash into hopper. Cutting brush and grass. May be assigned to litter clean up. Adheres to all state, federal, and local safety regulations as well as City of Chicopee Health and Safety policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Massachusetts Class D Driver's License.
  • Required City may consider applicants with said Massachusetts Class D Driver's License but as a condition of hire, said license must be obtained within six ( 6 ) months of hire.
  • Required High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Preferred Or one to three ( 1-3 ) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
