Join the City of Beaverton Department of Public Works (DPW) and help maintain our city's vital infrastructure—including our streets, sidewalks, sewer systems, water services, parks, hydrodam, and more! Full time position, $21.00 - $25.00 per hour. General Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, water lines, and sewer systems. Be mechanically inclined for maintenance and repair of equipment with a knowledge of basic welding. Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, and dump trucks. Conduct routine inspections of city property and infrastructure to identify and address potential issues. Respond to emergency calls related to public works issues, including water main breaks, fallen trees, and storm damage. Participate in snow removal operations during winter months. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Collaborate with other city departments and external contractors as needed. Assist with general groundskeeping and maintenance of city parks and facilities.
