Job Description

The City of Sterling Heights is seeking a Full-Time Laborer within the Department of Public Works! Pay starting at $24.7651/hr. Position Summary Under the supervision of the Division Supervisor, a Laborer is integral to the DPW's field operations and expected to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and replacement tasks associated with the City's public infrastructure, including major and local roads and water, storm water, and sanitary sewer systems. A Laborer must be proficient in operating vehicles and equipment essential to these job tasks. Carrying out the DPW's mission requires that a Laborer be task-oriented, hardworking, and committed to producing exemplary public services for the City's residents and businesses.
