Manufacturing Laborer Central Screw Products - 3.5 Troy, MI Job Details Full-time $20 - $24 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Forklift Driver's License Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Job Overview Central Screw Products is a family-owned CNC machine shop and precision component importer looking for a hard-working, dependable teammate to support our daily shop floor operations. This role is primarily hands-on production support — expect the majority of your day (roughly 80%) to be spent packing, painting, assembling, and directly supporting the production floor, with the remainder split across shipping/receiving, local deliveries, and shop upkeep. We're looking for someone reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small manufacturing environment.
  • Note:
    as our sister company, Detroit Gun Works, scales, there may be occasional opportunities to support their fulfillment operations, subject to any additional compliance requirements. Responsibilities
  • Production Support ( Primary Focus ): Pack parts, paint parts, operate a scale, and perform basic hands-on assembly of parts and materials. Load and unload machines. Review daily tasks and prioritize workload to keep production moving.
Shipping & Receiving:
Generate shipping documents, label boxes, and process new shipments. Check and sort incoming containers and shipments for quality and quantity accuracy. Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage.
  • Material Handling:
    Load and unload containers and trucks — using a forklift where needed. Comfort operating a forklift is required; formal certification is not.
  • Local Delivery:
    Drive a company vehicle for local pickups and deliveries as needed.
Facility Upkeep:
Perform regular shop clean-up and organization — operate the floor scrubber, sweep, shovel chips, empty trash, and handle other duties as assigned. Handle end-of-day duties including locking doors and turning off lights. Skills 1. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check. 2. Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 3. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and remain active on the floor throughout the shift. 4. Must be comfortable operating a forklift (no certification required). 5. Must be reliable and maintain a strong work ethic in a physical, fast-paced environment. 6. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
