Manufacturing Laborer GFL Environmental is looking for a Manufacturing Laborer to join our team in Byron Center, MI. This role is responsible for fabricating finished goods using industrial cutting tools, sewing machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders. Key Responsibilities:
Review blueprints and daily production plans provided by the Product Manager. Utilize rolls of purchased PVC and Fiberglass materials to cut, sew, and weld into finished goods. Operate industrial cutting tools, sewing machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders on a daily basis. Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products safely. Perform basic math calculations (adding and subtracting) for material measurements and production tracking. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Requirements:
Ability to read, write, and speak English. Proficiency in the use of hand tools and read tape measure. Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively alone. Strong basic math skills (adding and subtracting). Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds. Flexibility to work overtime as required by customer needs.
