Tasks:
Clear fields of wood and stones. Diagnose livestock health issues. Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses. Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Track and report on current feed inventory . Treat livestock health issues. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Milk cows. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Write daily basic progress reports. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops.
Equipment and machinery experience:
Milking system (automated). Tractor. Farm truck. Skidsteer. Hand tools.
Automated systems experience:
Manure handling and storage.
Area of specialization:
Dairy cattle.
