- Painting of pipe spools and structural steel
- Clean used equipment well in order to keep maintenance time down
- Dispose of excess materials in their proper areas
- Ability to be trained on a forklift
- Assist welder fitters in the day to day activities
- Perform layout work using measuring devices to make calculations
- Cuts, bends, and shapes metal pieces using power and machine tools
- Operate welding equipment to cut, alter and install materials and parts
- Loads, transports, and unloads equipment and supplies as required
- Cleans and maintains shop, equipment, and work site
- Uses various welding processes including shearing plates, punching and drilling holes, MIG, ARC, and OXY-Acetylene
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
