Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Shop Laborer to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment. As a Shop Laborer, you will support various manufacturing processes, assist with assembly and material handling, and ensure safety standards are maintained at all times. This position is ideal for individuals eager to develop mechanical skills, learn manufacturing operations, and contribute to efficient production workflows. Responsibilities Assist with the assembly of components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to meet production specifications. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move raw materials and finished products within the facility. Interpret technical drawings, production documents, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly and quality control. Support process improvement initiatives by adhering to lean manufacturing principles and safety protocols. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe and efficient environment. Collaborate with team members on the assembly line, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to quality standards. Qualifications Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments are advantageous. Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documents accurately. Experience with forklift operation or certification is a plus; training can be provided for qualified applicants. Strong safety awareness with a commitment to following safety standards in production environments. Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
